Brands were able to tap into the trusting relationship and rapport with our audience with bespoke content. These are examples of campaigns that I have led from brainstorming angles to execution.
In this partnership with InnoCell and HKSTP I led the creative team to produce on-brand coverage for a science and tech initiative. From creative pitching to ideation, the result was a unique, results driven campaign that was engaging for both Sassy readers and our client.
Hit Motherhood
A truly bespoke campaign, written with Sassy Mama readers at heart. It is a piece of content that could only be written by a mother, demonstrating the importance of the relationship between the writer and her audience.
As a proud feminist and campaigner for body positivity, one of the topics I struggle to write about most is costly beauty fads. By creating a trusting relationship with the client I have been able to create targeted content that fits with my values, while also driving conversions for clients.

By balancing editorial content with brand partnerships the audience can see our authenticity. The benefit of a paid campaign over a hosted stay is that the client has approval and input into the direction and the USPs highlighted in the review.

It might not be the flashiest of topics (and one that is thankfully mostly behind us), but this campaign filled a need for genuine information for our readers, alongside promotion of the client.
Personal Essays
Through personal essays I show my core values, relatability and vulnerability. This is content that truly connects and provides the foundation of my genuine relationship with my audience.
In 2021 the annual Breastfeeding Week campaign on Sassy Mama coincided with my own return to work after maternity leave. In this piece I cover the ups and downs of the first months with a newborn, and reflect on the differences between my first and second child.
Right THing To Do
Emotions were heightened for parents in Hong Kong by March 2022. Our family, like many, faced a tough decision, stay and risk the tight restrictions that come with catching COVID, or go on a one-way ticket, separating the family. In this deeply personal piece I detail the highs and lows of the first six weeks away.
